After WowWee successfully launched Fingerlings in the UK, CanspanBMG was awarded the Canadian marketing business. After the build-out and execution of a launch campaign, starting with a Toys R Us exclusive, the program quickly expanded to mass retailer support.
Television, social media (content, management and paid advertising), consulting and creative services were leveraged from CanspanBMG. Wowwee quickly saw huge sales lift in early weeks with 100% sell through at retail, as the advertising campaigns connected to consumers and spurred Fingerlings to a top spot among the hottest toys in the industry.
After successfully launching the brand in Canada, WowWee awarded CanspanBMG with global social media management, immediately playing a role in a phenomenally successful US launch on #FingerlingsFriday. As AOR for WowWee’s Fingerlings Canada and the global social media contract, a huge back half of activities are scheduled for 2017, with 2018 planning already underway.
